Bringing customized care to your unique farm
Our story
Dr Lexi grew up in Hibbing with the passion for animal care, specifically livestock production and horse work. After graduating with her veterinary degree in 2017, she aspired to return to the Iron Range to provide much needed large animal services. However, no established practices provided enough large animal work for her to follow her passion, and she was counseled to pursue a career in a more agricultural area of the Midwest. For the next five years, she enjoyed providing rural mixed animal services and building relationships with a wide range of producers and owners and started a farm and family of her own. After welcoming their first child, she and her husband decided to move north to be closer to both sides of their family and allow their son to grow up in an area they both call home.
Working as a rural mixed animal practice in Central Minnesota, Dr Lexi has experience working with many species and production systems. She works with backyard and competition horse owners, backyard hobby farms, FFA and 4H project animals, dairy farms, feedlots, cow-calf operations, alpaca breeders, and sheep and goat meat and dairy operations.
Preventative medicine and education play crucial roles in animal heath, wellbeing, and production or performance. For this reason, both Dr Lexi and her husband are interested in providing these services to livestock and horse owners on the Iron Range. Dr Lexi also enjoys volunteering to vet equine endurance races and sled dog races in her spare time.
